Finally got my car registration sorted after 3 months of putting it off

The DMV website kept kicking me out and I was about to just pay a late fee. I read a comment on a city subreddit saying to use the 'private browsing' mode on your web browser. Tried it on a Tuesday morning and the whole thing went through in 10 minutes. I felt so dumb for how long I avoided it. Anyone have other weird tech fixes for simple adult tasks?

Oh man, that private browser trick is a lifesaver. I had the same thing happen trying to pay a parking ticket online. The payment portal just kept erroring out. Cleared all my cookies and cache, used a different browser entirely. Went through on the first try. Felt like a tech wizard for fixing it.

You said "big a deal." It's a huge deal if you ignore it because the fine doubles and they can boot your car. That's way more money and hassle than just paying it.
