inI saw a coworker take a $20 bill from the break room floor and keep it
Wait, he kept the money for a whole week feeling guilty and still didn't say anything? That's wild to me. That's not just a quick bad choice, that's a full week of knowing you did the wrong thing and sitting with it. At that point, returning it is way harder because you have to admit you kept it. It really does show how one small slip can snowball.

inMy barista friend hit me with a coffee truth bomb
Feel your pain on that one. Once you taste the difference a few degrees makes, there's no unlearning it. My kettle's thermometer is my best friend now.

inWarning about that new flexible hoof packing material
Saw a post on a different forum where someone had good luck with that acrylic and fiberglass mesh combo for quarter cracks. They said the key was prepping the area super clean and using a heat gun to really set the layers. Might be worth a try for a high-movement horse.

inUpdate: I thought those 'no knead' bread recipes were total BS
Oh man I read this whole article about the science of pie crust once! It said the whole "don't overwork it" thing is about keeping the butter cold so it makes steam pockets. A food processor can actually do that FASTER than your warm hands, so it's not a cheat, it's just smart. Your buddy's story proves it, sometimes the "right" way is just the way we're used to. I love when people have to eat their words, and also pie.

inTalked with an old timer at the dock in Astoria who said he never uses his cutter head in silt. I thought he was crazy, but he showed me his pump wear logs.
My pump logs tell a similar sad story.
