Oh man, that reminds me of my friend's story at the post office. She was mailing a huge stack of packages, totally flustered, and this guy in line behind her just started helping her tape boxes shut. No words, just ripped off pieces of tape for like five minutes. @the_jennifer I get your point about the low bar, but sometimes that tiny help is the only good thing in a bad system. It doesn't fix the ocean, but it keeps someone's head above water for a second.

Actually, the terms are pretty much the same thing now. The whole metal vs glass thing was more of an old school distinction. Most people and shops just say sunroof for any opening in the roof, glass or not. Anthony_dixon's shop has the right idea. If you order a "moonroof motor" you'll probably get the same part as a "sunroof motor" for your car. The real difference is if it's a pop-up, tilt/slide, or a big panoramic glass roof.
