Pro tip: that "proper" way to hang toilet paper is just a waste of time
I spent 15 years fighting with the over vs under debate at my own house before I realized I was just rehanging the same roll 4 times a day. Why do we act like there's a right answer when we all just grab and pull however we want?

Wait, you mean there's people out there who actually stick to one direction and don't just grab at the roll like a feral animal at 3am? I'm pretty sure the "correct" way is whatever lets me get two squares without the whole roll falling off the holder and rolling under the bathroom sink... guess I'll stick with my chaotic neutral approach.

Hold on, there IS a right answer here. Over is objectively superior because it keeps the paper from slapping against the wall and getting dust or water splashed on it. Under means you have to twist your wrist to grab it, which adds unnecessary friction when you're half asleep. Plus the perforations tear cleanly off an over roll, but an under roll always seems to rip at a weird angle and waste a square.

Oh man, I just buy those large rolls that sit on the counter now. No holder, no arguing, just grab and go. Saves me a headache every morning.
