The uneven cut on my baseboard molding taunts me daily...
It's all I see when I walk in the door.

You know, maybe that uneven cut is just proof the place was put together by a person, not a robot. I mean, perfect lines can feel kinda cold and factory-made sometimes. Idk, it could become a weird little detail you end up liking after a while.

My old apartment had a baseboard gap you could fit a pencil through, right by the front door. I mean, I noticed it every single day for two years and it never got charming, it just got annoying. It felt like the builder just gave up right at the finish line.

Doesn't @simon_ramirez94 have a point about flaws making things feel human? I get what you mean, it's like those little mistakes show someone cared. Makes you appreciate the work more, you know?

Wait, hold on, you see it EVERY time you walk in? That would slowly drive me insane. I get the whole "flaws are human" thing for like, a handmade mug or something, but a bad cut on a baseboard isn't a charming quirk. It's just a mistake you have to stare at forever. It doesn't show someone cared, it shows someone rushed or didn't measure twice. I'd be fixing that, full stop. Perfect might be cold, but a crooked line just feels wrong.
