Serious question, my file uploads take ages and wreck my focus.

I work from home and often need to upload big files for clients. The uploads can take over an hour, and I end up just staring at the screen. Any hacks to stay productive while waiting?

Ugh, go do some dishes.

Ever try to use that wait for tiny, mindless tasks? I mean, my internet crawls sometimes, so I started dusting one shelf per upload. Ended up cleaning the whole bookcase and finding a twenty dollar bill behind it. Kinda turned a boring wait into a little treasure hunt.

Man, I feel this so hard. My go-to move is setting a phone timer for five minutes and racing it to knock out one super small task, like clearing my email inbox or sorting a stack of papers. It tricks my brain into feeling productive instead of just waiting, and sometimes I even beat the timer. Then I just repeat that cycle until the upload finally finishes.

What if you set the timer but then just stare at it until it goes off? That's my special skill, honestly. I'll race the clock and LOSE because I got distracted by a weird stain on my desk. At least moore.david found money, I just find more reasons to procrastinate. But hey, maybe next time I'll actually beat the timer. Or not, who am I kidding?
