Why I no longer return every dollar I find

I always tried to return any money I found. After finding a $20 with no way to find the owner, I kept it and didn't feel guilty. When do you think it's fine to keep found cash?

Totally get that. If there's no ID on it, it's fair game, right?

How many pens have I accidentally stolen this way? I'm basically a stationery bandit.

My friend's kitchen drawer is just a pile of mismatched pens from takeout places and banks. I mean, it feels like half the stuff in our houses is just borrowed forever without us even meaning to.

My desk drawer has a whole section for 'acquired' pens from meetings. How do you decide when a pen is truly yours, @laurag28? I once kept a fancy one from a hotel for months before realizing it was branded. Do you have a pen type you always end up with?
