I finally tested the structural integrity of my dining table with a pull-up routine
Attempted to do pull-ups under the dining table, but the leg gave way slightly. Ended up doing a makeshift isometric hold while balancing a plate on my head. Surprisingly, my core felt more engaged than ever. Now I just need to explain the new wobble to my spouse.

Reinforced the leg on our own table with a heavy duty L-bracket from the hardware store. Just screwed it directly into the table frame and the leg. That wobble never came back, and it's held through way more than just bodyweight since. Cheap fix, maybe twenty minutes of work.

Young.eric's fix mirrors mine on the dining table, and @dakotac75 is spot on about their longevity.

Whoa, going straight into the frame without drilling pilot holes? That's a gamble with most table woods. I've had screws pull right out of maple when I got lazy, so hearing this fix lasted is a real shocker. Makes me wonder if the bracket is doing more work than the screws.

How's the bracket holding up over time? I've used those heavy-duty L-brackets before, and they're surprisingly reliable for quick fixes.
