Can we talk about pre-approval vs. pre-qualification and why agents push one over the other?
My lender told me last week that pre-qualification is basically worthless for making offers, but my realtor said it's fine for starting the search. I got pre-approved for $285k and now I'm wondering if I skipped a step - has anyone else had an agent downplay the difference?
