My old e-reader lasted a decade before the screen gave out

I kept putting off replacing it because new models came out so fast it was overwhelming. After reading tons of reviews for months, I picked one that seemed simple. It arrived yesterday and setting it up took forever with all the account syncs. But now that it's done, I just feel relieved to have my library back.

Find all that syncing kills the relief.

That setup process is the worst part. Learned to just skip most of the account stuff during initial setup. You can usually add your library later through the device's own file manager. It keeps everything local and avoids those update sync problems. My current one hasn't talked to a company server in years, just drag and drop files.

You feel relieved to have your library back, but that's just because the setup is fresh. All those account syncs you did create more points of failure for your data. The real headache starts when the next forced update breaks something simple.
