I thought hiring a VA early was a waste of money

Honestly, I was convinced I had to do everything myself until my launch. Ngl, a founder I met in Austin told me to just book 10 hours with a VA for $150 to handle customer support emails. After a week, I got 40 hours of my time back and saw patterns in the questions people were asking. Has anyone else found a specific, cheap task to outsource first that paid off?

Tbh that "book 10 hours with a VA for $150" idea is spot on. I did something similar but for social media graphics. I spent way too long making basic posts myself. I found someone on a freelance site to make a week's worth of simple images for like $80. It freed me up to actually talk to customers instead of just posting at them. Seeing what visuals they made also helped me understand what messaging was actually working.

Oh man, that's exactly it. I hired someone to handle basic email replies for my small shop, and it was a game changer. I was wasting so much time on order confirmations and simple questions. Getting that time back to actually plan new products was huge.

Read something about how hiring out the boring stuff is like buying back your brain space. Makes sense, you can't plan new stuff when you're buried in the same old emails.

Used to think hiring help was a waste for small jobs. But hearing @emma_flores talk about getting time back to plan new stuff makes total sense now. It's not about the cost, it's about what you can do with that freed up time.
