Found my old sketchbook from college and it hit me

I was cleaning out a closet in my parents' house in Omaha last month and found all my old character designs. I used to want to make comic books, but I gave up after graduation because it seemed impossible to break into. Does anyone else get that weird mix of pride and sadness looking at old creative stuff?

Oh man, that reminds me of my old place! The person below me was learning the SAXOPHONE and they only knew that one sad song from Titanic. It was the same thing, every single night after dinner. I started making my loudest phone calls right then just to feel like I had some say in the noise.

Nah, but my buddy did for a couple years. He got stuck in this apartment where his neighbor would practice the bagpipes every single night at like 7 PM. I mean, it was so loud the whole building could hear it. He tried talking to the guy but it didn't really help. He ended up just learning to time his showers to cover the noise.
