Question about charging for delivery in a college town

Last week in Athens, I had a wedding client balk at a $25 delivery fee for a huge arch piece. She said she could just pick it up in her truck. I told her flat out, my insurance doesn't cover her driving my work, and my time and gas aren't free. Three years ago I would have caved and lost money. Now I put the fee right on the first page of the quote. How do you all handle people who think delivery should be included?
