Am I the only one who thought those self-leveling underlayments were just a gimmick?
I tried one on a slab in Tacoma that had a 1/2 inch slope over 10 feet, and it actually saved me a full day of grinding and patching. What other 'miracle' products have you guys found that actually work?

That 1/2 inch slope is a big one. Did you have to use a primer first, or did you just pour it right on the slab?

Honestly, I was just as skeptical until I tried that peel-and-stick flashing tape. It looked like fancy duct tape, but it actually sealed my shed roof leak for three years and counting. Some of this new stuff is weirdly legit.

My buddy used that spray foam for sealing gaps and it was shockingly good, no more draft in his old garage lol.
