Back in 2018 I threw $300 at a 'pro' day trading course that was basically garbage

I got roped into this online course from some guy promising to teach me how to scalp options for steady income (you know, the classic dream). Turns out it was just a bunch of basic stock charts and affiliate links to his broker. By the time I realized it was a total waste, I was already down $300 and felt like a fool. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of those flashy trading programs?

Read a guy on Twitter who said the same thing happened to him.

Oh man, I feel this one deep in my wallet... I got suckered into a similar "pro trader" course back in 2017 and it was basically just a bunch of YouTube videos he ripped off. The guy literally used the same shaky mouse cursor on his charts as every other scammer out there. I spent $250 and all I got was a headache and a lighter bank account. At least we can bond over being the ones who paid for other people's vacations, right?

The guy I fell for had this whole Instagram setup with rented cars and a fake trading floor in his basement. He kept pushing this "lifetime access" to his private Discord that ended up being just a link to a free StockTwits chat. Did your guy also brag about his "prop firm connections" that turned out to be just a referral code to a regular discount broker? I still get emails from mine selling a $500 "advanced course" that's probably just the same three videos but with different colored arrows.
