Showerthought: I found a wallet with $80 in it at the park yesterday

I took it to the police station, but part of me wondered if I should've just left it where it was. Has anyone else felt weird doing the 'right' thing?

Oh man, I totally get that! I found a phone once and felt the same way. Dropping it at the lost and found felt awkward, but the person was so relieved when they got it back.

You found a phone and just dropped it at lost and found? That seems risky, like anyone could grab it. I would have tried to find the owner myself first, honestly.
