Seriously? I mean it helps, but calling it a game-changer feels like a stretch. It's just reading basic human cues, which we do all day anyway. Maybe it's not that serious.

Well, @young.eric, this reminds me of when I thought my neighbor was giving me the silent treatment. Turns out he just lost his voice from a cold. Reading cues is useful, but it's not always right. Calling it a game-changer seems like a lot for something we mess up daily. We're all just trying to figure out what everyone else means without much to go on.

Wait, your neighbor lost his voice for how long? That's not just a normal cold, that sounds awful. Honestly I'd be worried if someone couldn't talk for days, that's way more than a little sore throat. Tbh it kinda proves the point that we really don't know what's going on with people unless they tell us. We jump to the silent treatment when maybe they just need some soup and rest.

Right there with you. Last week I thought my friend was mad at me because he was quiet, but he was just tired from work. We spend so much time guessing what people mean, and half the time we're wrong. Calling that a game-changer is like saying remembering to breathe is a life hack. It's just part of being around other humans, nothing special.
