Saw someone sneak leftovers into a tupperware at a buffet in Reno last weekend
I was at the Grand Sierra buffet last Saturday and watched a woman fill two large containers from her purse right at the dessert station. Nobody said anything, but I could see the staff notice and just look away. It made me wonder where the line is between getting your money's worth and just plain stealing. Has anyone else seen this kind of thing and felt weird about it?

Haven't we all thought about it though?

Takes me back to the old Vegas buffets where people would fill up their soda cups with soup. It's like there's this weird line we all draw in our heads between what's acceptable and what's just pure chaos.

Thought about it?" Yeah, I've thought about robbing a bank too, doesn't mean I'm gonna stuff my coat with shrimp cocktails. That woman at the dessert station was basically running a side business out of her purse. I saw a guy at the Palms once try to sneak a whole loaf of bread into his cargo shorts like it was a magic trick. The buffet is already a gamble - you're paying for the experience of eating until your stomach hurts, not to stock your fridge for the week. If the staff looked away, they probably just didn't want to deal with the scene she'd cause.
