Remembering when I had to choose between a big plumbing job and helping my neighbor fix a leak for free.

I took the free job, which meant losing about $800, but seeing the relief on Mrs. Henderson's face when her basement stopped flooding made me sleep a lot better that night, so has anyone else ever picked the 'right' thing over the profitable one and how did you handle the fallout?

Was it hard to make that call when you saw the money walking away? I had a client ready to book a full re-pipe last year, but my kid's teacher had a busted water heater and no cash. Fixed it for parts only. The big job client was mad and went elsewhere. Honestly, the quiet pride from helping someone who really needed it just... it outlasts the sting of a lost paycheck. You figure out how to make up the money later.

Honestly piperbailey, that sounds like a made up story for likes.

Guess that's why they call it liquid assets...
