A quiet moment with my uncle at his old cabin in the woods
We were sitting on the porch last fall, watching the leaves fall, and he just said, 'You know, I spent my whole life trying to build something that would last. Now I see the moss on the roof and the way the trees grow around it, and I realize it was always meant to be part of this, not stand apart from it.' That simple line flipped a switch in my head about permanence and belonging. Has a place or a person ever made you feel like you were exactly where you were supposed to be, even if it wasn't perfect?

Ever had a moment where everything just clicked? My grandpa's old workshop was like that for me. Full of dust and half-finished projects, but it felt right. He never cared about making things perfect, just about making them with his hands. That place taught me that being part of something messy is better than trying to build a perfect little island.

Better than a perfect little island" really hits home.

My grandpa's workshop just had a leaky roof and a weird smell. I guess that's the "messy" part.
