The old Otis 311 controller in the downtown bank building used to trip every Friday afternoon, but after we swapped the main contactor last month, it's been solid for 30 days straight.

Has anyone else had a specific part replacement just completely solve a ghost problem like that?

Wow, I used to blame the software every time.

Yeah, "blame the software" is such an easy trap. @the_taylor, I've found it helps to take a step back and ask if the issue happens every single time you do the same thing. That usually points to a pattern in how you're using it, not the tool itself. Saves a lot of headache once you get in that habit.

My old boss would blame the network for everything, even when his own cables were unplugged.

Seriously, a whole month without a trip? That's barely a test cycle. Let's see if it makes it through summer when the building AC is maxed out. Ruby_henderson36 has a point about looking for patterns, but sometimes old hardware just fails slow. I'll believe it's fixed after the next holiday weekend.
