Everyone praises digital-only repair shops, but my experience says otherwise

Most guys I know think ditching the physical shop is smart for saving cash. But honestly, not having a real bench to test parts on has led to more comebacks. Just had a gaming console with a heat sink not seated right, and over video, it seemed fine until it overheated again. So I'm sticking with my messy workbench, lmao.

Yeah thermal paste is tough to judge over video.

My buddy swore his paste looked fine on stream, but his temps were awful until he redid it in person.

Tech channels on YouTube prove it's doable every day. High def cameras catch the paste texture fine. If you know what to look for, it's clear. Variations in color and shine tell the story. Honestly, video judgment is underrated.

Cameras never show if the paste spread is too thin in one spot. Wade has a point, but Sandra_wood is right that texture clues help. Don't you still need to feel it to be sure?
