That one Tuesday where I found 7 hidden junction boxes behind drywall in a single house
Was roughed in a rewire last month on a 1950s ranch in Denver and I swear every wall had some capped-off cluster of wires buried under fresh sheetrock, took me half the day just to find them all before we could even pull new runs, has anyone else dealt with that many surprises in one house?

The house I worked on over in Lakewood last year had five of those bad boys hidden behind some wood paneling in the basement alone lol. @the_harper is absolutely right about the tone tracer being a lifesaver, I remember standing there staring at a wall that looked totally clean and then bam, magic wand lights up like a Christmas tree. Honestly though seven is just wild, that builder must have been laughing to himself knowing someone would have to deal with that mess down the road. I spent a whole Saturday just mapping out all the hidden splices and eventually gave up on finding them all and just started cutting new holes to be safe. These old houses in Colorado always seem to have some weird surprise waiting for you behind every layer of drywall.

7 hidden junction boxes" sounds rough. A good tone tracer found mine quick.

Seven hidden junction boxes? That's insane. The builder must have been trying to set some kind of record for hiding stuff. A good tone tracer is basically a magic wand for that kind of mess, I've seen guys spend two days drywalling over boxes because they just couldn't find them. Glad you got yours sorted, but seven still haunts my nightmares.
