Those $15 magnetic key hooks paid for themselves in 3 minutes flat

I was bagging groceries at a packed supermarket and my keys fell behind the conveyor belt motor because my lanyard broke, so I grabbed a spare hook from underneath and fished them out without even stopping the belt. Has anyone else figured out a random cheap tool that saves your behind at a boring job?

Honestly, that's one of those life hacks you never knew you needed until your keys are having their own little adventure behind a conveyor belt. Ngl, I'd probably just stand there yelling at the thing like a fool while my manager gives me the "you good?" eyebrow raise. Tbh, a dirty old plastic gift card has saved me from losing my wallet behind a vending machine more times than I wanna admit. People underestimate how much junk we all carry around that can double as a tool in a pinch.
