PSA: Cutting the wobble with a 10 dollar bungee cord trick
Had this old 8 inch dredge that would shake like crazy once I hit a certain flow rate. Drove me nuts for months, thought I needed a whole new impeller setup. Then one afternoon I just looped a bungee cord from the frame to a nearby tree trunk, just to take the edge off. It killed like 90 percent of the vibration instantly, no joke. The whole rig ran way smoother for the rest of that 6 hour shift. Anybody else rig up some dumb fix like this that actually worked?

Wait, a bungee cord? That actually killed 90 percent of the vibration? I mean that's nuts, I would have never guessed something that cheap could work that well.

Yeah @wade871, it really does work that well. A buddy of mine tried it on his dryer after I told him about it and he was blown away too. Surprising how the most basic stuff can fix something you've been dealing with for months.

And @michaeltorres is like the bungee cord whisperer now. Reminds me of when I fixed a squeaky washing machine with a zip tie on a hose clamp.
