Vent: I used to think dream doors were just doors

After my dream last night where the only way to open my apartment door was to whisper the name of my first-grade teacher, I get it now. Anyone else have a weird dream rule that just clicks?

Totally get that feeling. Had a dream where my car would only start if I hummed the national anthem backwards. It made perfect sense at the time.

Dream logic hits different for sure. But come on, is humming backwards really that big of a deal? Cars are weird in dreams anyway. What's the strangest rule your brain has ever made up?

Honestly, the trick is to just go with it in the moment... trying to fight dream logic just makes it worse. Had a dream once where my brakes only worked if I apologized to the steering wheel. Woke up feeling ridiculous, but it made total sense at the time. Brains are just weird like that. Best advice is to write it down when you wake up, makes for a good laugh later.
