My sister said my dream about the talking mailbox made no sense, so I started writing down the RULES.
She was like, 'Why would the mailbox only accept letters written in crayon? That's stupid.' But in the dream, it was a LAW. If you used a pen, the letter would just vanish. So now I keep a notebook by my bed and jot down the logic as soon as I wake up. Last night's rule was that I could fly, but ONLY if I was holding a specific blue coffee mug from my old apartment. If I put it down, I'd just drop. Anyone else get super specific, non-negotiable conditions like that in their dreams?

My buddy had a dream where he could breathe underwater, but only in his neighbor's swimming pool. The ocean or a lake just didn't work, it was a pool-only superpower.

Wait, @wendy131, hold on - are you saying he could breathe underwater like full-on scuba style, but ONLY in that one pool? That's wild, I had a dream once where I could fly but only if I was wearing mismatched socks, so I kinda get the weird logic. But a pool-only superpower? That's gotta be the most oddly specific rule I've ever heard for a dream, like his brain really committed to the neighbor's chlorine setup.

Did the neighbor's pool have like, special chemicals or something? That's such a weirdly specific rule for a dream power.

My friend dreamed he could turn invisible, but only if he was humming the theme song to a show he hated.
