My dream kitchen turned into a swamp and I had to laugh it off

Last night I dreamed my whole kitchen floor was just a giant mud pit, like something from a construction site after a storm. The weird rule was that if I wanted to cook dinner, I had to first drain the swamp using a tiny bucket and then the water would just vanish. I spent what felt like an hour scooping out muddy water with this plastic sand pail, and every time I got close to the bottom, a new wave would roll in from under the fridge. My brain decided that this was totally normal, like of course you deal with swamp water before chopping onions. I woke up with my arm actually sore from holding a pretend bucket all night. Has anyone else had dreams where the house just turns into something else entirely for no reason?

Did you ever figure out what the swamp water was trying to tell you?

You know, it's funny you bring that up because it got me thinking about how we're always looking for signs in weird places. Just the other day I had a customer come in dead set that a leaky pipe was some kind of message from the universe, and I'm like, no, it's just a worn out washer. But maybe that's the point right? We spend so much time trying to decode things like swamp water or weird coincidences when really the simple answers are staring us in the face. Sometimes a puddle is just a puddle and a leak is just a leak, but that doesn't make it any less important to pay attention to.

@vera_robinson36 is onto something. Read where swamp water can show you what's really in the ground.
