Just realized dream stairs are always the wrong size

In my dreams, stairs are never normal. They're like weirdly tall or super shallow. I woke up this morning remembering a dream where I had to climb these steps in my old apartment building but each one was like 3 feet high. My legs kept slipping. My friend says in her dreams stairs are always going backwards or missing steps. Weird thing is I've been having these staircase dreams since I was a kid. Anyone else have stairs that just don't work right in dreams?

Oh man, I had a friend who told me about these stairs in her dream that were just spiraling forever but the steps were like those tiny decorative ones you see in a dollhouse. She said she was trying to run down them to get to a phone that was ringing and her whole foot kept hanging off the edge. It got worse because halfway down the steps just turned into this slanted wooden ramp thing and she had to slide the rest of the way on her butt.

Wait, is it possible that dream stairs are actually perfectly normal and we just remember them wrong? Cause @jamie940's story about the dollhouse steps and ramp sounds like a memory glitch, not a universal staircase curse, you know?

Dollhouse steps, that's exactly what I mean! I used to think dream stairs were just normal but weirdly shaped, but after reading about your friend's experience with the tiny steps and the ramp, I'm starting to think maybe they're all just broken in some way.
