I redid a set of foundation plans from 2018 last week and the change in my line weights was huge

I was cleaning out old project files and found a basement detail I drew six years ago. The lines were all the same thickness, so the concrete walls looked flat next to the rebar. Last week, I had to update those same plans for a renovation. This time, I spent an extra twenty minutes just on my layer settings, making the cut lines bold and the hidden lines really thin. The new drawing just pops off the page, and the contractor called to say it was way clearer to read on site. It made me realize how much my focus shifted from just getting the dimensions right to making the whole sheet communicate better. Has anyone else gone back to old work and been surprised by a simple thing that makes a big difference now?

Honestly, I used to think line weights were just extra work for no reason.

Right? It's crazy how much it helps. I found some old site plans from my first job and the property line was the same weight as a curb, it was a mess.
