Swapped out my old corded drill for a battery powered one 6 months ago and I can't believe I waited that long

The difference in portability alone saved me like 20 trips back to the garage running extension cords when I was building that shed, has anyone else made the switch and found it way more convenient?

Read an article a while back saying battery drills are actually more powerful now than most corded ones from 10 years ago. That blew my mind since I always figured plugging it in gave you more juice. Been using mine for almost a year and the only time I miss the cord is when I forget to charge the battery and have to wait an hour. Otherwise it's just way easier to grab and go without tripping over wires everywhere. Definitely made me feel like a fool for holding out so long.

@angela587 Right there with you, I held onto my old corded drill for YEARS thinking the same thing. Finally switched last summer and it's like a whole new world not having to untangle the cord every five minutes.

Read something similar too... battery tech has come a long way even in the last few years. I think @spencer_coleman is right, it just takes one good cordless tool to make you never want to go back.
