Just saw a stat that 40% of digital nomads stay in a place for under a month

I found this on a blog post about nomad trends from 2023. I usually book places for at least two months to feel settled. Does moving that often actually help with productivity or is it just more stressful?

Moving that often seems like a huge time sink. You'd spend half your week just figuring out the new grocery store, wifi, and where to get a decent coffee. In my experience, it takes a solid month just to find a good routine and a reliable place to work without distractions.

Moving that fast just turns you into a full time travel agent. It takes me three weeks just to find a good spot for lunch, let alone get real work done. Two months is the sweet spot for actually settling in.

Honestly, I used to think moving fast was the whole point. But @lewis.finley is totally right about the time sink. I tried the under-a-month thing once. Spent the first week just dealing with a bad wifi signal and hunting for a pharmacy. By the time I found a quiet cafe to work in, it was already time to pack up. You never get past the basic setup phase. It just burns you out.
