Hit 6 months of full-time nomad life in Medellin yesterday

I landed here in April with nothing but a backpack and a half-baked plan. Now I actually have a routine, a coworking spot I visit 4 days a week, and enough local friends to fill a WhatsApp group chat. The big before and after for me is my Spanish going from zero to actually ordering food and haggling at the grocery store without panic. Anyone else find a city that just clicked after a few rough months?

a routine, a coworking spot I visit 4 days a week" that's huge. Once you get that routine down, the whole nomad thing feels way less like survival mode and more like actually living somewhere. I think the language thing is the biggest unlock too, once you can get by without the translator app panic, everything opens up.

Picked up enough Thai to order street food without pointing at pictures. Game changer for me, @piper779.

Wait, Thai is tonal though, right? You sure you're not just saying the same word five different ways?
