In-house content team beat our agency freelancers every time

We spent 6 months using a rotating roster of freelance writers for client blogs, and the quality was all over the place. Switched to a dedicated in-house writer who knows the clients inside out, and our retention rate jumped from 60% to 85% in 3 months. Has anyone else found that consistency beats variety for content work?

Consistency just means fewer surprise rewrites at 11pm.

Woken up at 11pm more times than I care to admit by a Slack message about "minor tweaks." My personal record is 2am on a Tuesday, staring at a spreadsheet wondering if my career choices were sound. Consistency just means I can go to bed without checking my phone every 10 minutes. Though I still check it every 15 minutes out of habit.
