My flat color pass turned muddy after switching to 27 inch monitor

I spent 6 months calibrating on my old laptop screen and then moved to a 27 inch 4K display, but suddenly every skin tone I painted looked like bruised fruit, so I ran a test print and realized my entire portfolio was way too saturated, has anyone else had to redo a whole series after a monitor change?

Man, that sucks. I feel for you, going through all that calibration work and then having it blow up in your face. It’s a brutal feeling when you realize your whole portfolio’s been lying to you this whole time. I had something similar happen when I switched from a small laptop to a proper desktop monitor years back, and I had to go back and fix the color on about half my client work. The worst part is you can’t trust your eyes for weeks after, you keep second guessing every single value. Hopefully your next pass goes smoother, but yeah, that’s a real kick in the gut.
