Pro tip: I picked a donate box over a trash bag for old hobby stuff

So I had this pile of yarn and half-done knitting projects from like 2019 sitting in my closet. I kept thinking I'd get back into it, but honestly I haven't touched a needle in 3 years. I was gonna just toss it all in a trash bag, but then I made myself box it up for donation instead. Dropped it off at Goodwill last Tuesday and it felt way better than throwing it away. Now my closet has like 4 extra inches of space, which is sad but also freeing. Has anyone else struggled with letting go of hobby supplies you might use again?

Oh man, I've got a whole shelf of model paint that's been drying out since 2017... I kept telling myself I'd finish that Warhammer army but nope, now I've just got little plastic soldiers with one arm painted and a guilty conscience. Donating is definitely the move though, I finally caved and gave my old cross-stitch stuff to a local crafting group last month, felt like I was shedding a skin or something. Now that shelf just holds dust and a single very sad fern instead...

Paint thinner can sometimes revive dried out model paints if they're not completely solid yet...
