My sister's 'one shelf' rule actually worked for my closet chaos
Last month my sister told me to clear out my closet by only keeping what could fit on one specific shelf she picked out, not the whole thing. I thought it was crazy because I had like 40 shirts crammed in there after 3 years of hoarding stuff from Target sales. But I set a timer for 45 minutes and pulled everything out, then only put back items that I had worn in the last 6 months according to my laundry app. Ended up donating 28 shirts and 12 pairs of jeans, and now I actually see what I own when I open the door. Has anyone else used a weird limitation like that instead of just saying 'get rid of half'?
