My unraid server was trash until i swapped one stick of ram last tuesday

I fought random crashes for like 6 weeks, blamed the drives, the case, even the power supply, then a buddy pointed out my ram wasn't on the motherboard's qvl list. I swapped in a $45 stick from microcenter and it's been rock solid for 8 days straight. Anyone else waste a ton of time chasing hardware ghosts before checking the dumbest part?

QVL lists exist for a REASON, people. One swap fixed everything, that says it all. Compatibility is the cheapest insurance you can buy, seriously. Learn from this post before you rage-buy a new motherboard.
