Read a 2011 forum post about SOCOM Confrontation servers and it made me check my PS3 hard drive
Found my old save file with 400 hours on it and now I'm wondering if anyone here has the fan patch that brings back the custom lobby browser. What's the best way to move saves off a dying console without losing them?

If the console still powers on, just copy the whole profile folder to a USB drive using the PS3's save data utility, that grabs everything at once. If it's already dead you're stuck pulling the drive and mounting it on a PC, but the files are encrypted so you need your console's ID to decrypt them.
