The plumber said he does drains all day but his real dream is rebuilding a '67 Chevelle in his garage
I was standing in my basement on Saturday while a plumber named Dave snaked the main line, and he pointed at a framed photo of a Chevelle on his toolbox and said he spends 40 hours a week on pipes so he can spend his own money on car parts. He told me he's been working on that same car for 6 years and it still doesn't run, but he doesn't care because the garage is the only place nobody tells him what to do. Does anyone else have a job that just pays for the thing you actually want to be doing?
Wondering what happens when that car finally fires up and he actually has to drive it. The garage being the only place nobody tells him what to do makes me think the project is kinda the point, not the finished car. Ask him what he does on the days he doesn't touch a single wrench.
