Gave up a promotion to keep my Saturday painting gig

Got offered a shift lead spot at the diner with a $2 raise, but that meant working every other weekend and my Saturday mural commission for that coffee shop in Portland pays $300 for four hours, so I turned it down and honestly, I'm still wondering if that was the dumbest or smartest choice I've made this month, anyone else pick money in the pocket over money on the paycheck?
