Guy at the coffee shop changed my mind about tipping

I always thought tipping was just expected, not earned. But this barista remembered my order and asked how my job interview went. Now I drop a dollar in the jar every time.

Ray over at Ace Hardware on 5th Street remembered I was the guy who bought that weird French door handle last spring. He just said "found anything good today?" and it made me want to buy a whole new drill set I didn't even need. That tiny bit of recognition beats a loyalty card with 10 stamps every time.
