Found a 10 dollar scratch ticket on the sidewalk, felt guilty, so I gave it to a stranger

I was leaving the 7-Eleven on Broadway around noon and spotted it torn in half on the curb, and while everyone else would've just pocketed it, I handed it to an old guy feeding pigeons, who actually won 50 bucks, so has anyone else given away found money and regretted the instant the winner smiled?

Yeah, that instant when someone else is happy because of something you did, kind of stings a bit, doesn't it? But you did the right thing, even if it felt weird after.
