Swept the garage after putting it off 11 weeks and now I get why people do this
I kept telling myself the pile of sawdust and dead leaves in my garage in Boise was fine, no big deal, and then last Saturday I finally grabbed a broom and it took 40 minutes total. I used to figure a clean garage was for people with nothing better to do, but standing there with an empty floor and my truck actually fitting inside changed my mind fast. My neighbor Carol saw me and said her husband swears by doing it every two weeks, which sounds like a lot. How often do you all actually sweep yours, and does it really stay clean that long?

Man, I gotta push back on this. A garage is for parking stuff and storing junk, not for looking pretty, and sweeping it every two weeks like Carol's husband is just busywork you invented for yourself. You got the truck in this one time, but give it a month and the leaves will be back and you'll wonder why you bothered.
