Serious question, folding my fitted sheet flat vs rolling it into a ball, and ball mode won
Last Saturday I tackled the linen closet in my apartment in Fresno because the door would not shut anymore. I pulled out three fitted sheets and tried the whole neat folding thing I saw in a video, tucking the corners into each other like a little pocket. Took me 25 minutes and I was sweating and the stack still looked like a pile of soft tacos. Then I grabbed the fourth sheet, said forget it, and rolled it into a tight log and shoved it in a basket in 20 seconds flat. That basket now looks neat, takes up less room, and I can actually see which color is which. My partner saw it and said it looks like a bread roll, which I took as a compliment. Has anyone else given up on the matching corners thing or is it just me?
The "pile of soft tacos" line got me because that is exactly what my linen closet looks like after I try to be all neat about it. I spent a good 15 minutes wrestling with one sheet last month, and by the end the corners were somehow inside out and I had lost a pillowcase in the mess. Rolling them into logs is the move, and honestly the bread roll comment from your partner is accurate since a row of them in a basket looks like a bakery display. My only tip is to wrap a rubber band around each log so they don't unroll and turn back into tacos on you.
