Can we talk about how 90% of ketchup bottles have the same cap design flaw?

I was at a cookout last weekend and noticed almost every ketchup bottle I picked up had dried crusty stuff stuck in the cap threads. After cleaning three bottles, I looked it up and found out it's because the cap design hasn't changed since the 1980s - most brands still use that same shallow thread pattern. A food science blog I read said roughly 15% of ketchup gets wasted globally just from this clogging issue. Has anyone else found a bottle that actually solves this, or do we just deal with it?

Same deal here, it's like they don't even try.

Disagree, I’ve never had that problem with bottles.

Huh, really? I saw a thread the other day where people were saying the opposite happens with aluminum.
