Question about password managers vs. writing them in a notebook
I switched from my paper notebook to a password manager last year and the auto-fill catching a fake login page is what sold me. Has anyone else had a close call with a phishing site that looked real?
I mean, the auto-fill thing is cool and all but has a fake login page ever actually gotten you? Like you said it's what sold you but it sounds like it just warned you about something that didn't end up mattering. Most phishing sites are pretty obvious if you just look at the URL, and if you're the type to fall for one, clicking autofill or not probably isn't saving you. Idk, maybe it's just me but this feels like a feature people hype up more than it actually does anything. A notebook can't get hacked either, that's kind of its whole thing.
