A quick chat with my cousin's friend changed how I think about credit cards
We were at a backyard barbecue in Phoenix last month, and he mentioned he pays his card off every single Friday, not just once a month. He said, 'It keeps my balance low for the credit check, so my score stays up.' I tried it for the last six weeks, and my score actually went up 12 points! Has anyone else tried paying more than once a month?

That's a solid tip about paying weekly, might have to give that a try myself.

Man, I used to be all about the monthly payment. Felt cleaner, you know? Like one and done. But switching to weekly totally changed my game. It feels less like a big hit to my wallet each time. I started with my phone bill, just breaking it down, and it honestly made budgeting way easier.

Try linking the weekly payment to something you actually do every week. Like, I pay my internet bill right after I do my big grocery run on Sundays. It turns a boring bill into just another step in my routine, and now I don't even stress about the money leaving because it's tied to a real task. Feels less abstract than a random calendar date.

Oh wow, that's a clever trick. I set up a small auto-transfer to my savings every payday, which sort of does the same thing by hiding money from myself. It makes the whole credit card bill way less scary when it's time to pay.
