That week in June where every prompt I posted flopped harder than the last

Honestly, June 12th to 18th was cursed for my writing. I posted a prompt about a time traveler who can only move forward by burning childhood photos, got 2 upvotes and one comment asking if I meant a fireplace. Then I tried a haunted vending machine concept, 5 upvotes but all replies were about Snickers prices. By Friday I threw up a simple 'write about a locked door in a library' and it got 40 upvotes. Ngl, the dumbest one won and I still don't get the algorithm. Has anyone else had a week where your most detailed prompts tanked and your lazy ones took off?

Ohhh man, that library prompt was probably saved by the algorithm gods having a lazy Thursday too. I swear the thing that gets traction is sometimes just what people can mentally picture in like two seconds without doing any work. I had a similar week where I posted this whole elaborate world-building thing about a city that moves on rails and it got crickets, but then I threw out a dumb one about "what if your shadow was a gossip" and it blew up with people telling me their shadow's tea. My theory is people mostly upvote when they instantly get the joke or the twist, and your complex stuff might've needed too much reading to even click. That vending machine one was probably too much of a sting, though, those commenters were just hungry.
