Serious question, found my childhood diary while cleaning the attic. Now I'm drowning in memoir prompts.

Used to jot down silly stories in there. Now every page feels like a starter for something deeper.

Ever find an old toy or book that brought back a flood of memories like that? I dug out my first baseball glove from my mom's garage last summer. The leather was all cracked and it still smelled like old mitt oil and dirt. Holding it instantly took me back to Little League games and my coach who died a few years ago. It's funny how physical stuff can slam you with feelings you forgot you even had.

Feel your pain, I found mine with the fuzzy kitten cover last year. The little stories hit so much harder now, like that one about my third grade crush has layers I never saw then lol. It's wild how those old pages unpack a whole mood.

My fifth grade diary had a lock that broke in two days. I used to roll my eyes at my own bad spelling and dumb jokes. But reading it after my dad passed last year, @milarodriguez, that entry about him teaching me to ride a bike wrecked me. The stuff I wrote about being scared of falling took on a whole new meaning. Now I get how those old pages hold onto feelings you didn't know you had. It's not just kid stuff, it's a map of who you were.

Oh man, my old diary was just a list of what I ate for lunch and which cartoon I liked. Real deep stuff. @wendy131, that glove story got me, it's crazy how a smell or a broken lock can just drop you right back into a feeling.
